John Caldwell called the meeting to order and the Pledge of Allegiance was performed. In attendance were John Caldwell, Tammy Thompson, Greg Kadlick, Sharon Kadlick, Chris Rogers, Caren Comeans, Glenda McCool, Leah Cundiff and Dana Thomas.

The following events were discussed:

The August Pack meeting has been rescheduled from the original date of August 25, 2005. The pack meeting will be held on Thursday August 18, 2005 at 6:30 in the Canongate Elementary School Gym.

Round-up for registering new scouts will be held on Thursday August 25, 2005 at 7:00 at Canongate Elementary Cafeteria. Leaders and their scouts (leader's children) need to be at the cafeteria at 6:30 to assist with the sign-up. Please wear your class A uniform.

The summer day camp was a great success. There were 24 scouts representing Pack 55. Leah Cundiff will provide the advancements according to the Flint River Council Day Camp check list.

The July pack event was held at the Wild Animal Safari Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia. There were 4 dens represented. The tour was great and the scouts really had a wonderful time.

Glenda McCool provided a treasures report. Leaders, please be very careful when you receive a reimbursement check from the pack account. If checks are lost there will be a stop payment fee of $20.00 that you must pay before a new check can be issued.

Our Popcorn Kernel, Sharon Cadlick, updated the leaders on the upcoming Popcorn Kick-off. There will be a Blitz Day on Saturday September 17, 2005. The scouts will meet at Cornerstone Church and go through different neighborhoods to "show and sell". There will be a "Secret House" program with special prizes given out for the scouts that follow the clues and find the secret houses. More popcorn information will follow soon.

Training for New Leader Essentials and Leader Specific Training will be held on Saturday September 17, 2005 at Trinity Christian School in Coweta County. The Leaders Essentials class will be held from 8:30 am until 10:00 am. Leaders Specific Training will be from 10:15 am until 3:00 pm. Please make arrangements to attend these very informative classes.

The September Pack meeting will be held on Thursday September 22, 2005 at 6:30 at Canongate Elementary Gym. Den 2 will be hosting.

The September family outing details are still being finalized. A possible trip to Providence Canyon is in the works.

The Canongate Fall Festival is scheduled for October 15, 2005 at Canongate Elementary School. The scouts will be cleaning up after the festival so please let your dens know to be prepared to stay late and be in their class A uniforms. This is a great way to show our scout spirit and show our appreciation to the school for all they do for us throughout the year.

The Spook-o-ree is scheduled for October 8, 2005 at Camp Thunder. Please get your dens fired up about this wonderful event so we will have a great turn out. More details will follow.
